The downstairs of my house currently resembles the same kind of scene you'd expect if some particularly vexxed raccoons had broken into a stationery store.
Here are some progress numbers:
Orders shipped - 5 (that's Ireland, I needed an EU test)
Boxes prepared - all of them (yay!)
Books signed - 200 (of 330, originality is hard y'all)
Orders packed ready to send on the 12th - 105
The orders I've queued to pack over the rest of today - 40
Orders that still require a phone number - 18 (I'll mail you again - I actually cannot ship your orders without this information)
Now, the better news. I'm shipping everything by air, so unless your local customs authorities decide to be exceptionally exciting you'll get your underwhelming delivery ahead of the Christmas Gifting Window Delivery Date.
As before - if you get stung for customs or delivery duty when receiving your package, grab a pic or copy of the invoice (for my own tax records), send it to the customer service address along with your order number and we'll figure out how I can refund you. Amount of work on your end? Maybe 2 mins. I don't mind paying it, that was part of the deal, that I haven't been able to prepay it has made me all frowny-face but there is no way around it.
Yes, this has all taken longer than anticipated. Lessons have been (and are continuing to be) learned.
The aim remains to fling everything into the postage machinery this week. Confidence? 90%. I'll update with numbers!
